I HAVE NETS! It wasn't as bad as I thought being without the net. I have good trustworthy staff who have done a fabulous job keeping up with things while I was gone, and I was able to twitter RP for ages on my phone. Without that, I'd have probably lost my mind in all the paint fumes. XD

So I've begun the painting and unpacking process at the same time. Not the brightest idea, but I had to break into my books before I went nuts. The house is not anywhere near done, paint wise. Still white primer on most of the walls, but that will change soon. Lots of interesting colors going on around here... Bright yellows and some interesting muted greens... My father wanted to make the color choices interesting I suppose.

Anyhow, the house is two levels plus a basement, one bedroom, two bathrooms and a conjoined living room and kitchen. My study is up in the loft, which overlooks both the stairs going down to the first floor on one side, and the living room and kitchen on the other. It's lined with built in bookcases that I had to use about 70 coats of yellow on. I've started unpacking my books, but it's a LONG process. Because my sound system is connected to my computer up in the loft, the sound in the house is amazing. It basically turns the loft into a giant speaker box. Great for doing dishes or cooking.

Normally I cover most of the windows in my computer and bedroom area, but I've done well leaving them uncovered so far. There's only woods around here, so I don't have to worry about prying eyes. It's so remote that I don't even need to worry about changing in front of the uncovered windows!

Kau-tan and my cat Nihm are adjusting well. Nimmy spent the night on my bed last night. She's a freaking tank and hates the stairs, but she's getting over herself. Maybe it will help her shed a few pounds of her massive bulk.

All right, on to the pictures... It's too far too buggy to walk around outside taking pictures of the exterior, so these are all interior shots for now. I've never seen a place so full of mosquitoes! I practically need a blood transfusion after walking the dog!

Some shots from around my bedroom: The view from one windows looks out over Pharaoh Mountain, but it's too overcast to see much in the pictures. The other looks out into the space above the living room, and it's right next to the loft.

Still a work in progress, but it's good to be here. I'll be sure to post more pictures as the desk area comes together more. ^^ I'll also try to get some good night pictures. The lighting in here is really neat. XD

Stole this from... basically everyone on my F-list.

you are darkredviolet

Your dominant hues are red and magenta. You love doing your own thing and going on your own adventures, but there are close friends you know you just can't leave behind. You can influence others on days when you're patient, but most times you just want to go out, have fun, and do your own thing.

Your saturation level is high - you get into life and have a strong personality. Everyone you meet will either love you or hate you - either way, your goal is to get them to change the world with you. You are very hard working and don't have much patience for people without your initiative.

Your outlook on life is slightly darker than most people's. You try to see things for what they are and face situations honestly. You'd rather get to the point than look for what's good.

It's all true, besides the "Just want to go out" part. I don't like to go out much. XD

For anyone wondering- I made it from TN back to NY yesterday in one piece. One bruised, exhausted, mentally shattered piece, but one piece all the same. I only got ran off the road one time by some sleepy trucker, and my only other issues were a landslide of Murakami Maki doujinshi when a box tipped over in the car and almost drowning myself by pouring coffee up both nostrils when I accidentally hit a bump while drinking it. And possibly damage to my liver and kidneys from something like 8 energy drinks and a few of those 5 hour energy shots. God those make me feel like shit, but at least they keep me alert. XD It took 4 full tanks of gas and was supposed to take 17 hours, but somehow I did it in 15.5 hours. Apparently there's a wormhole somewhere on I-81 North...

Anyway, I'm staying at my moms for a few days as it's still a few more hours to my new hours further upstate. Relaxing and visiting with everyone before heading up there on Saturday to delivery my belongings and get set up. I'll be sure to take tons of pictures.

Kau-tan's still kicking somehow. She's currently sleeping on my desk. ^^

My parent's architecture company designed this giant 8 foot replica of the Rock'em Sock'em Robots from my childhood! It's made completely out of cans of food that were afterward donated to the food pantry. His company participated in a fundraiser event where tons of different statues made from cans of food were created, and these were displayed at the New York State museum. In all, HUNDREDS of cans of food were donated! Way to go!

Here are a few of the other awesome creations! Click to view them full sized.

In other news, my adorable mother knitted this baby toy the other day... It's so cute! It's a duck AND a rabbit! it's reversible! you just turn it inside out and it's the other animal. How creative! My mom can knit just about anything.

AND! I'm moving back to New York! I'm thinking it will be Fall of this year. I'll be talking with my parents more about it in a couple weeks when I'm home with them on vacation. They've offered to rent me their summer home for the cost of what I'm paying here in Tennessee. It used to be an old live bait shop that my father tore down and redesigned from the foundation into a very modern feeling one bedroom small two story home with TONS of windows overlooking the Adirondacks. It's never been lived in except for when I used to bring friends up there for weekend long parties. I'm so excited I haven't been able to sleep. I'd go back NOW if I could! I'll be able to live with my kitty and my dog again, and not worry about my darling roommate's airheaded friends, and I'll only be 2 hours from my parent's house instead of 22 or something crazy like that. It's in such a small town that the closest store is one of those awesome old general stores called Mt. SEVERANCE county store. I'm serious! Look:

I love small towns!! I told my roommate that I was leaving last night. Waiting for the fallout. >.<

So here I am again, packing my car to move another load of my stuff back with me from NY to TN where I've been living. All my manga and posters were still at my family's home in NY because they wouldn't fit in my car, so this trip is to rescue my them. Remember how full my car was when it was just doujinshi? JOG YOUR MEMORY

Although Moving pt.1 probably had more stuff, this trip is by far heavier. These manga weigh a ton!! The car is riding a lot lower in the back! I have no idea how I'm going to be able to stop. >.< Wish me luck!

A note on the posters and wall scrolls: Those tubes are completely filled with them, and there were so many extra that I had to start wrapping them around the outside. There's over 100 in there. I started counting them as I was taking them off the walls, but there was a spider under one, I almost fell off the stool, and lost count. Does everyone remember MY OLD BEDROOM? These posters covered the entire area of the walls and even the ceiling!  Oh, and this box isn't even in the car yet. It's huge and weighs so much that I can't even lift it! *waits for family to come home and lend a hand*

It's great that I'm going to be finally reunited with all my manga in my new apartment in TN, however I only have one small bookshelf there. >.< This will be interesting...

So once again I pack up all my belongings and shove them into my tiny ass car for another relocation. This one was a long time coming (two months instead of the two weeks it was originally supposed to be). I'm so excited to get out of here! My roommate and I are moving to a different city, closer to civilization and the normal bustle of city life. We leave at 8am Saturday morning!! I'm not even completely sure if I'm going to be able to release a project tomorrow with all the last minute craziness. >.< You know that I'll try my best, though. ^^
Anyway, obviously besides my doujinshi, here's my life in boxes~! I really don't own much, when it comes down to it. All the furniture besides my desk is Nepenthe's because it wouldn't fit in my car when I originally decided to move to this state to be with him. So...this is the extent of it. One of the things that I find humorous about all this, is the three Priority Mail boxes are full of doujinshi, but it's resale books, so they aren't even mine! That cuts down the "my stuff" pile even more! I just can't believe how few things one needs to be happy (besides doujinshi.) All there's left to do is load up the computer stuff and doujinshi into the car and take off to bigger and better things!~

I had to buy a new desk and desk chair since I couldn't fit any of my furniture in my car for the move. After two days of struggling to put this stupid "full assembly required" desk together with a screwdriver that's half the required size, I have it enough together to use. The cabnet doors and drawers are still not installed, but I could wait no longer to get back to work. The chair is extremely comfortable, which is great, since it needs to support me for the 20-60 hours a week I spend scanlating and doing other various internet garbage.
I'll only be here for three weeks until we get our own (better) apartment in the town we're going to be finally living in 3 hours away, but for now it's home. As long as I have a desk and a computer, I'm a happy camper. I miss my Kau-tan, who had to stay home until we are settled in the new apartment which will allow dogs. >.<
Well, time to catch up on some pieces and figure out what we're releasing friday!~
Hugs to everyone!
